Road Trip America! Wisconsin

Wisconsin

Throw some stuff in your car and go explore Wisconsin, July is a great time to hit the road and discover off the beaten path locations. Taking I-90 West from the Chicago Illinois area, you could stop in Janesville and take in the history and architecture of the town as almost 2500 buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and information for walking tours is readily available here; https://www.theclio.com/tour/395.

Back in your car and stay on I-90 West where you will find yourself in Madison Wisconsin, and a quality place to spend a couple of days relaxing; https://madisongrandhotel.com/. While in the area, visit the Olbrich Botanical Gardens featuring the Thai Pavillion and Garden – the only one in the continental US, with an amazing tropical garden.  The Bolz Conservatory, a sunny 50-foot-high glass pyramid, houses a diverse collection of tropical plants, a rushing waterfall, free-flying birds, and blooming orchids year-round.

Hop in your car from Madison and take a ten minute drive to Lake Waubesa, rent a fishing boat, kayaks or canoes at Barr’s Resort – a small family run store that has been in business for over 70 years.

Enjoy the road trip, stay safe!
