The first half of 2016 has seen lots of brilliant achievements from our hotels, and we’re delighted to see so much energy being put in to the re-brand and really driving occupancy during the summer season.
We are delighted to announce that September’s Star Hotel is the Magnuson Hotel Papago Inn. The team at the hotel have put 100% in to a full re-fit of their hotel in a way that stays true to the property’s boutique design, and the results are great! At Magnuson Hotels we champion our hotels’ right to run their hotel their way, and the Magnuson Hotel Papago Inn are this month’s Star Hotel because they have really epitomized these values with their re-fit.
When owners Bret & Tisha Wirta, and their team joined Magnuson Hotels from Best Western, they felt their hotel’s true potential was being squashed by unnecessary property improvement plans.
They switched to Magnuson Hotels because of our belief that hotel owners know best how to run their hotel. Since then, they brought in a designer from Seattle who specializes in the hotel’s architecture. Without the rigidity of a franchise Property Improvement Plan, they were able to bring the hotel’s unique character back to life.
Bret & Tisha, told us about their experience as a Magnuson Hotel: “This past year we refreshed our lobby, restaurant and lounge. Our goal was to keep the iconic design, which was one of the big reasons we chose Magnuson Hotels.”
They continued, “We also appreciate the new co-op program. We’ve engaged a digital marketing consultant and he’s put together a plan that will promote the Magnuson Hotel Papago Inn across multiple platforms including search engines like Google and social sites like Trip Advisor, Facebook and Yelp. We are more effective because the co-op contribution from Magnuson allows us to make more buys. “
